Great ENERGY at this years COMICPALOOZA event at The Houston Convention Center. We flew there from SoFLA for our client who we recently shot New York corporate event photography for, at their Skyroom party in Times Square NY, and helped to document the action at their 2019 Comicpalooza stand.
Lensology is a HUGE fan of the comic book world, although maybe we kick it a little older school with Spidey and The Silver Surfer, but Webtoon’s online comic-strip writers got a huge response, with autograph lines encircling the stand all through the day.

Webtoon at Comicpalooza 2019
Our client for this assignment was Webtoon — the massively popular online platform that has revolutionized the comic strip format for the digital age. Webtoon’s roster of independent comic creators has built enormous followings online, and the 2019 Comicpalooza appearance gave fans a rare chance to meet their favorite artists in person.
The response was extraordinary. Autograph lines formed around the Webtoon stand continuously throughout the day, with fans eager to connect with the creators whose work they follow online. Capturing that genuine excitement — the energy of fans meeting their heroes — was at the heart of our photography brief for the event.
Trade Show and Convention Photography at Scale
Photographing a trade show booth at a large convention like Comicpalooza presents unique challenges that require both technical skill and strong people instincts.
