Sun Princess Cruiseship Commercial Shoot

A recent commercial photography assignment for LG Electronics aboard the cruise ship Sun Princess. The brief was to capture their huge LED display screens situated throughout the ship in The Piazza atrium, Casino, Bars, The Arena and other locations.
Glare on screens was to be avoided at all costs and there would be no time to setup lighting of any kind at any of the locations. We accomplished this commercial photography assignment during a three hour private media tour shooting high resolution RAW images and in post production we made the screens pop while keeping passengers and crew largely in silhouette or shadow.
Client review and some images from the shoot below:
“We found Lensology online and had no prior experience working with the firm. The assignment was a challenging one, photographing digital displays in fixed environments on a cruise ship. We liked their experience in the category and hired them for the assignment. We couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. The professionalism of the team, and the quality of their photography, made the project a complete success. We look forward to working with them again in the future!”

Commercial Photography is a specialized field of photography...

It is aimed at promoting and marketing products, services, or brands. Unlike traditional photography, which may focus on artistic expression, commercial photography is primarily driven by the goal of engaging potential customers and boosting business sales. It involves creating high-quality, visually appealing images that help businesses stand out in competitive markets.
Common types of commercial photography include product photography, advertising photography, fashion photography, and corporate headshots. For businesses, professional images can elevate the visual appeal of their websites, social media platforms, and marketing materials, creating a lasting impression on their audience. For example, product photography highlights the features and details of merchandise, making it easier for consumers to connect with the item before purchase.
