The ROCKSTAR of this years 2020 Lauderdale Air Show Fort Lauderdale Event Photography was the latest jewel in the USAF’s Crown. The F-35 Lightning II, single-seat, single-engine, all-weather, stealth, multirole combat aircraft utilized by the USAF to perform both air superiority and strike missions.
The tech marvel wowed the crowds with incredible free falls and appearing to appear out of nowhere with super-sonic beach runs with an ear shattering sonic boom following close behind it.
Both The Lightning and the the F-22 Raptor did vastly extended displays, as The Show’s usual stars, the famous Blue Angeles were unable to attend the 2020 show.
The F-16 VIPER DEMO team chased itself around the sky with live flares and other attractions included the Geico Sky Writers, the Miami Coast Guard and the Miss Geico 113 formula one power boat.
But the climax of the Fort Lauderdale event photography was a special and rarely seen treat with multiple fly-bys by four generations of fighter aircraft where the two fighters above were joined by a A-10 Warthog from The Cold War, and the legendary P-51 Mustang from WWII.
Featuring Fort Lauderdale event photography and elite military demonstration teams, including headliners like the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds or Navy Blue Angels, it transforms the coast into a thrilling, high-energy beachfront stage.
The Experience and Location
Unlike traditional airfield events, the Fort Lauderdale Air Show utilizes the vast Atlantic Ocean as its backdrop. Spectators can enjoy unobstructed views while relaxing in the sand and soaking in ocean breezes. The show center stretches along State Road A1A near Birch State Park and Fort Lauderdale Beach Park, though the aerial maneuvers are visible for miles along the coastline.
The event takes place over a weekend in the spring, with gates opening at 9:00 a.m. The action in the sky typically kicks off around 11:45 a.m. with opening ceremonies, followed by roughly three hours of continuous flight performances concluding near 3:00 p.m. The schedule features a diverse lineup of high-performance civilian aerobatics, military jump teams (like the elite U.S. Special Operations Command Para-Commandos), and simulated search-and-rescue demonstrations.
